Battle Ground

Battle Ground

Named for a fight that never took place between US soldiers and Native Americans, Battle Ground, Washington, located in the heart of Clark County, has a population of 20,000 now, but that number is growing.  Few can resist the pristine landscape, with the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Coast Range to the west.  The mild climate afforded by the mountains that shelter it make Battle Ground a cozy enclave not far from the bustle of urban Vancouver, Washington, and its neighbor on the southern shores of the Columbia River, Portland, Oregon.

Residents are aware of the potential for growth here and have taken steps to attract it.  A team approach with flexibility and the seeking out of creative solutions is evidenced by the revitalization of Old Town.  With a strong sense of community and its needs, Battle Ground strives to provide all of the amenities of a big city while maintaining the small town feel.  In the past few years both a 25,000 foot skate park and a 13,000 square foot library were built.  Quality of life is key here, whether your vision of that might include miles of hiking trails along the Lewis River or up to the falls, access to several local wineries following a trip to the movies, or a happening paintball park.

Both development-established and undeveloped acreage are available here, as well as a wide range of single-family and multiple family dwellings.  Don’t fight the feeling – Battle Ground is a dynamic community on the rise.
